Silvia Careddu | Flute

 

Studied at the Conservatorio Statale G. P. Da Palestrina in Cagliari (Italy) with distinction, continued her studies with Riccardo Ghiani and Raymond Guiot in the Accademia del Flauto in Rome. 2002 graduated with first prize and distinction from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris (CNSMD), where she studied with Pierre-Yves Artaud, Florence Souchard and for the chamber music diploma with Maurice Bourgue. International master courses with Aurèle Nicolet at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Michel Debost, Emmanuel Pahud and Jacques Zoon.


Numerous prizes in national and international competitions. 1st prize with distinction at the 56th Concours International de Genève (Switzerland), 1st prize with distinction in the Concorso Cagliari Lion’s Club (Italy), prizewinner in the Concours Jeunes Talents de la Flûte in Paris (France), special prize in the Fnapec chamber music competition in Paris (France), award from the Academie de Villecroze (France), 1st prize with distinction in the Concorso Internazionale di flauto Syrinx in Rome (Italy).


Guest appearances as solo flautist with the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Cologne, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva and the Orquestra do Estado de Sao Paulo and the Bamberger Sinfoniker. Concert tours to music festivals in Europe, Korea and Japan. Teaches at the Spivakov Academy in Colmar and at the Academy in Odeasan and Seoul (Korea).


Since 2004 principal flute in the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin.
